When we first announced our Annual Holiday Open Farm Days, Jet Tucker, EDC Chair asked if she can participate. We immediately said, “YES”. Jet popped up the tent, promptly displayed an array of Canterbury business cards, brochures of starting a business in Canterbury, the Canterbury Business Directory, along with various items associated with Economic Development here in Canterbury.

As a new demonstrator here on the farm, we thought it would be fitting to have Jet pick out the name for our Annual Alpaca Toy Drawing winner.

Congrats to Beth D. from Wallingford, CT. Your Alpaca Teddy Bear is on its way to your doorstep!

Being an active part of this community, we think its a great idea to invite a Canterbury Economic Development presence to any business event going on in our town. We believe that having lots of business information to give to visitors all around our part of Connecticut, or in any part of Connecticut, that would bring visitors to Canterbury is always a good thing. We always want to be a good neighbor to residents along with other local businesses. Burgis Brook supports local business, and some local businesses have been very good to us too!
