This year we’ve added another craft to our Holiday Open Farm Days… Basket weaving. Now you say, what the heck does that have to do with an alpaca farm? Well, baskets are used for many many purposes here on the farm, from displaying skeins of yarn, to carrying fleece, and gathering garlic too!

These baskets are lovingly handcrafted by our good friend Beth-Ann. She’s a mama to four alpaca boys up at the barn; Quazar, Wyoming, Porter and Noah.

During the day, Beth-Ann was creating fabulous pieces of basket wizardry. Berry baskets, serving trays, yarn project totes and the like.

The farm shop will have Beth’s woven heart ornaments stuffed with alpaca fiber to hang on your tree, window latch, car mirror etc. etc. Come by the shop and check ’em out.
